Writers Groups Warm Up Registration
On Saturday, November 17 at 11:00 am in Library Meeting Room A, author Judy Bridges will lead a workshop on "writers' groups."
"The 2012 Waupaca Book Festival included a day long writers' workshop. With sixty individuals participating, we really felt we needed to follow up with our community of writers. Judy Bridges, author of the critically acclaimed book, Shut Up and Write, has agreed to help Waupaca start some writers groups," says Peg Burington, Waupaca Library Director.
Bridges book details the process for using a writers' group to improve your writing skills. “All interested parties are welcome. This program is for the beginner and accomplished writer in all genres,” says Bridges.
Participants in the program will learn:
- guidelines and procedures for participation in a writers' group
- how to prepare your work to share
- how to get and give feedback
- samples and handouts
