Mother Daughter Book Club Reads Diaries
This month the Mother Daughter Book Club takes a little different spin..... We're reading diaries and letter style books! And.... we're meeting for breakfast, not lunch!
Check out a book of your choice that is written diary style or using letters to tell the story (Librarians can help locate some really great books.) then come to our discussion to share the book you read and hear about all the other books club members chose. We'll meet in the lower level meeting rooms at 8:30am (before the library is even open). Sue will provide juice and coffee. Club members are asked to bring a breakfast food to share.

Upcoming Children's Events
Babygarten is more than a playgroup! Children under 2 years of age and their caregivers will share nursery rhymes, songs and books. Every session ends in a free play period. No registration necessary.
Families are invited to participate in "Workshop Wednesdays" held in the exhibit room just off the Children's Dept. Each week, two crafts/activities will be featured. Drop in whenver you are able. Each day's activity will be posted on an easel. All workshops are free and no registration is necessary.
This 45-minute interactive story time features books and activities that will have you digging for more. No registration necessary. Held in the lower level meeting rooms. Participants are invited to join the craft fun in the exhibit room after Story Time for Workshop Wednesday.
Nationally known story-performer Chris Fascione acts out the best of classical and comtemporary children's literature and folktales in a fun-filled, participatory show tailored for the whole family. His unique combination of storytelling, mime, juggling and comedy creates colorful characters from literature who tell their stories as laughter abounds.

Therapy Dogs International local volunteers will provide two dogs each week for children to read to. This national program is designed to provide a relaxed and "dog-friendly" atmosphere for kids to practice their reading skills. Each session is 20 minutes long. Registration is required. Sign up for a session at the Waupaca Area Public Library Children's Dept. or by calling 715-258-4417.
