Make a SPLASH- READ! 2010 Summer Library Program June 4 through July 30.
Register online or at the library. There's also a printer friendly schedule of events.
Children of all ages can participate whether they can read or are being read to. Reading records will be handed out at registration. Mark off a picture on the reading record for every 15 minutes of reading. Redeem your reading record once every two weeks at the registration table located in the Children's Dept. for great prizes. Place your reading record into the wishing well in our "Prize Pond" for a chance to win one of many splash‐tacular grand prizes. Several families are selected each week to win family prizes.

Preschool Story Time
Ages 2‐5 Thursdays, 10:30 am
June 10, June 17, June 24, July 8, July 15, July 22
This 45‐minute interactive story time features books and activities to encourage creative expression. No registration necessary.
Tuesdays at 10:00 am and 4:30 pm; Fridays at 10:00 am
Children under 2 with caregiver Share 20 minutes of stories, nursery rhymes, songs and bounces. Each session ends in a free play period. No registration necessary.
Workshop Wednesdays
1:00 to 3:00 pm
June 16, June 23, July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28
Families are invited to participate in "Workshop Wednesdays" held in the Exhibit Room just off the Children's Dept. Each week two activities that enable kids to explore water through science and art. Drop in whenever you are able. Each day's activity will be posted on an easel in the Exhibit Room. All workshops are free and no registration is necessary.

Library Meeting Rooms Dive into the Magic of Reading – Bruce Hetzler, Magician Explore the wonderful world of reading, the library, and the magic found in books. Watch a small beach ball magically come to life. Try to follow Flipper the Flying Fish. Wonder how the water in the cup magically vanished, and what happened to it. And more…

Library Meeting Rooms Mulan, Jr. – Waupaca Community Children’s Theater Travel back to the legendary, story‐telling days of ancient China with this actionpacked stage adaptation of Disney’s Mulan. The Huns have invaded, and it is up to the misfit Mulan and her mischievous sidekick Mushu to save the Emperor! Mulan Junior is a heart‐warming celebration of culture, honor and a fighting spirit.

Outdoor Family Movie Night Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to the front lawn of the library at dusk to watch a family movie and celebrate the end of our Summer Reading Program.
Sunday, August 15 at 1:00 pm
Waupaca Library Day at the Wisconsin Timber Rattler Game Join your friends from the library at the afternoon game between the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Game starts at 1:05 pm. Kids who participate in Summer Library Program for weeks 3‐6 are eligible for a free ticket to this game (including a hot dog and drink). Additional tickets are available for purchase and must be ordered by July 31st.
Join the Mother-Daughter Book Club for Grades 3-7
Meets Fridays during the summer at Noon.
Members bring their lunch; library provides beverage and dessert.
