Friendship Bread Baking Contest

Calling all Waupaca bakers!

Bake Friendship Bread goodies and enter to win prizes at the Waupaca Book Festival!

1. Choose and bake a recipe from the Friendship Bread Test Kitchen or create your own Friendship Bread recipe using the Friendship Bread starter. The starter recipe can be found at the site as well. If you ask around you may find a few friends who are willing to share starter with you. Ask Peg at the Library. She probably has a few starter bags stashed away.

2 .Include the recipe, your name, address and phone number on a 8 1/2 x 11 paper and drop your baked goods off at the Waupaca Public Library on Friday, October 12 before closing (5:00 pm).

3. Entries will be judged by author Darien Gee based on originality, presentation, and taste.

4. Prizes will be awarded and Friendship Bread baked goods will be shared during Darien Gee's author presentation on Saturday, October 13 at 1:00 pm in the Library meeting room.

The prizes include signed copies of Friendship Bread and the limited edition Shelley fine china plate that was featured in the book.
