Circulation Assistant: Responsible for: assisting library patrons, operation of the circulation desk, operating circulation software, shelving library materials and general clerical functions in the library. This position includes work in both the adult department and in children's services.  Experience working with children is preferred.

We are particularly looking for people who are interested in working evening and weekend hours, but daytime hours are likely as well.  Circulation Assistants need to be being available to cover vacations, sick time, etc. Duties include assisting library patrons, checking materials in and out at the circulation desk, shelving, keeping order, enforcing the policies of the library, answering the phone, etc. This job will require repetitive movement, bending and lifting items that could be 50 lbs. or more.  It is important that you are familiar and comfortable with helping patrons, computers, books and other materials. The starting pay is minimum wage ($7.25/hour).
